14 May Ordinance determines flight restriction
from india
After several interministerial meetings, held at the Civil House, the Federal Government published this Friday (14), an Ordinance that bans travellers from India from entering the country. The measure was taken after guidance from the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) to contain the spread of local variants of the coronavirus in Brazil.
Since sending Anvisa's recommendation, the Civil House has been meeting with the agency and other ministries involved in the proceedings. The Ordinance makes explicit the release of cargo flights, to avoid economic and health losses, since we receive supplies from India for vaccines against Covid-19.
Travelers from the UK and South Africa are still prevented from entering the country.
